Jesus Is Our Peace

Sin separated us from God, and we could not repair that separation through our own efforts. We needed a Savior who could bring us back to God.

That is why Jesus came.

In John 14:6, Jesus identifies Himself as the way, the truth, and the life. Our relationship with God is made possible through Him, not through our religious accomplishments or personal goodness.

The cross reminds us that sin is serious, but God's love is greater. Jesus willingly gave His life so that we could be forgiven and brought near to the Father.

This peace should also change how we treat others. When we understand the grace God has shown us, we should become more willing to listen, admit our mistakes, and extend forgiveness. We cannot control how others respond, but we can choose to pursue peace in our own words and actions.

Today, stop trying to earn the peace Jesus has already made possible. Trust Him, rest in His grace, and allow His peace to influence your relationships.

Scripture:
John 16:33 - These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.

Application:
  • Bring a troubling situation to God in prayer.
  • If appropriate, take one step toward peace by listening, apologizing, or offering forgiveness.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for making peace with God possible through Your sacrifice. Help me rest in Your grace instead of relying on my own goodness. Give me wisdom to pursue peace, humility to admit when I am wrong, and patience with those who have hurt me. Let Your peace guide my heart and actions.
