Rescued for a Reason

God did not rescue us without a purpose. God's grace in your life is meant to point beyond you to Him. Your story is a testimony of God's grace.

This changes the way we think about our lives. We can become so focused on what God has done for us that we forget He also wants to work through us. God rescued you so that your life could display His goodness.

God has placed you where you are for a purpose. Your family, workplace, church, neighborhood, friendships, and daily relationships can all become places where God's grace is displayed.

You may never preach a sermon to thousands of people. You may never write a book or stand on a stage. But you can show grace to someone who has hurt you. You can serve someone who cannot repay you. You can forgive. You can encourage. You can share what Christ has done in your life. Never underestimate what God can do through a life surrendered to Him.

Scripture:
Ephesians 2:10 - For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

Application:
  • Ask God to show you one person who needs to experience His grace through you today.
  • Look for one practical opportunity to serve, encourage, forgive, or help someone.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for rescuing me by Your grace. Thank You that my life has purpose because I belong to You. Give me opportunities to serve and encourage people who need to see Your love. May my life point people toward Jesus and bring glory to Your name.
