Living Out God's Grace

Imagine receiving a valuable gift designed for an important purpose, but instead of using it, you put it away and never think about it again. You might appreciate the gift, but you would miss the purpose for which it was given.

Ephesians 2:10 reminds us that we are created in Christ Jesus for good works. God has given every believer opportunities to serve Him and reflect His character.

Often, serving God happens in ordinary moments. It happens when we encourage someone who is struggling, help a neighbor, forgive someone who has hurt us, or demonstrate patience when life becomes frustrating.

Jesus taught in Matthew 5:16 that our good works should lead others to glorify our heavenly Father. We are not trying to draw attention to ourselves. We want others to see God's goodness through our lives.

God has placed you where you are for a reason. Be faithful with what He has given you, and let your life point others toward Jesus Christ.

Scripture:
Matthew 5:16
-
“Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”

Application:
  • Identify one person you can encourage or serve today.
  • Look for opportunities to demonstrate God's grace through your words and actions.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for saving me by Your grace and giving my life purpose. Open my eyes to opportunities to serve others. Help me reflect the love and character of Jesus in everything I do.
