A Life Being Transformed

Have you ever watched a craftsman turn a rough piece of wood or stone into something beautiful? At first, the material may appear ordinary. But the craftsman sees what it can become and carefully shapes it according to his design. That is a picture of what God is doing in our lives.

In Ephesians 2:10, Paul tells us that we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works.

When God saves us, He does not simply forgive our sins and leave us unchanged. He begins transforming our character, attitudes, priorities, and behavior.

2 Corinthians 5:17 reminds us that anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. But spiritual growth does not happen overnight. We still struggle with sinful habits, wrong attitudes, and personal weaknesses. Sometimes we become discouraged because we are not growing as quickly as we think we should.

Yet Philippians 1:6 reminds us that God will continue the good work He has begun in us. That does not mean we can ignore sin. It means we can confidently cooperate with God's work through repentance, obedience, and dependence on Him.

God uses His Word, our circumstances, and other believers to shape our lives. Sometimes His correction is uncomfortable, but His purpose is always good.

God is not finished with you. He continues working to make you more like Jesus Christ. The same grace that saved us is also transforming us into the people God wants us to become.

Scripture:
Ephesians 2:10 -
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.”

Application:
  • Ask God to reveal one area of your character that needs to change.
  • Take one practical step toward obedience in that area.

Prayer:
Father, thank You that I am Your workmanship. Continue shaping my heart and character to reflect Jesus. Help me respond to Your correction with humility and obedience.
