The Mission Is Shared

God never intended for His people to live out their faith in isolation. From the early church in Acts to the teachings of Paul, Scripture consistently emphasizes the importance of community. In Philippians 1:27, believers are called to strive together for the faith of the gospel.

Despite this, many Christians attempt to walk their spiritual journey alone. Independence can feel easier, especially when vulnerability is uncomfortable. Yet isolation weakens our faith and limits our effectiveness. Ecclesiastes 4:9–12 reminds us that two are better than one, and a cord of three strands is not easily broken. We need others to encourage us, challenge us, and support us when we struggle.

Community is not just beneficial, it is essential. When believers live in authentic relationship, their shared faith becomes a powerful testimony to the world. The early church grew not just because of preaching, but because people saw a community living differently; loving, serving, and supporting one another.

Scripture:
Philippians 1:27 - Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or remain absent, I will hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel.

• Reach out to a fellow believer for encouragement or prayer.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for the gift of community. Help me to walk alongside others in faith and not try to do life alone. Teach me to both give and receive encouragement as we live on mission together.
