God Is Working In The Waiting

Waiting is one of the most difficult aspects of faith. It stretches us, tests us, and often leaves us questioning whether God is still at work.
 
Yet Scripture repeatedly shows that waiting is not wasted time. Abraham waited decades. Farmers wait for harvest. Growth often happens beneath the surface, unseen.
 
James 5 reminds us that waiting is part of the process. Just because we don’t see immediate results doesn’t mean nothing is happening.

In fact, waiting is often where God does His deepest work: shaping our character, strengthening our faith, and preparing us for what’s ahead.
 
We tend to equate delay with denial. But God’s timing is intentional. He is not slow, He is precise. When we learn to trust Him in the waiting, we develop a faith that is not dependent on immediate results but anchored in His promises.
 
Scripture:
James 5:7 - “Therefore be patient, brothers and sisters, until the coming of the Lord. The farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient about it, until it receives the early and late rains.”
 
Application:

• Identify something you are waiting on.

• Write down God’s promises related to that area.

• Practice patience by trusting His timing today.

 
Prayer:
Father, help me to trust You in the waiting. When I feel uncertain or discouraged, remind me that You are still working. Strengthen my faith and help me remain patient and hopeful.
