Trusting God in the Middle of the Storm
One of the most
challenging aspects of faith is accepting that God’s rescue doesn’t always mean
immediate relief. We often pray for God to remove us from difficult situations,
but many times, He chooses to walk with us through them instead. This can be confusing
and even discouraging if we misunderstand His purpose.
Throughout Scripture,
we see examples of God allowing His people to face trials—not because He
abandoned them, but because He was accomplishing something greater.
As believers, we
often equate God’s love with protection from pain. But His love is more
profound than that. He is committed to our growth, our faith, and His glory.
Sometimes that requires walking through seasons that stretch us beyond our
comfort.
When we begin to
trust that God is working even in the storm, our perspective shifts. We stop
asking only, “How do I get out of this?” and start asking, “What is God doing
in me through this?”
Scripture:
John 16:33 - These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.
Application:
God, when life feels overwhelming, remind me that You are with me. Help me to trust You not just for deliverance, but for strength in the process. Teach me to see Your hand at work, even in the middle of difficulty.

- Think of a current challenge you are facing.
- Instead of asking God to remove it, ask what He wants to teach you through it.
