God Sends His Presence and Displays His Power
The angel in Peter’s
prison cell was more than a messenger — he was a reminder that Peter was never
alone. God’s presence enters even the darkest places. We may not always see an
angelic light, but His Spirit is with us, comforting, guiding, and empowering
us to keep moving forward. Psalm 34:7 says, “The angel of the Lord encamps
around those who fear him, and rescues them.”
God’s presence also
brings His power. Chains fall, doors open, and hearts change when God moves.
Yet notice — Peter still had to obey: he got up, got dressed, and followed.
God’s miracles often involve our cooperation. We do the ordinary; God does the
extraordinary. His power is not hindered by our weakness — it’s revealed
through it.
