God Uses Obedient People
Peter and John stood
before the same council that had condemned Jesus. They were told to stop
preaching in His name. Their response was clear: “We cannot stop speaking about
what we have seen and heard.” That’s the power of obedience.
Obedience doesn’t
always feel glamorous. Sometimes it’s simply choosing to speak when you’re
scared, to stay when you want to run, or to keep loving when it’s hard. But in
the kingdom of God, small acts of obedience often lead to great opportunities.
Peter and John
weren’t looking for a platform. They were simply being faithful. And because of
their obedience, the gospel spread. Miracles happened. The church grew.
Obedience invites
trust. If you want to be used by God in greater ways tomorrow, start by obeying
Him in the small things today.
Scripture:
Luke 16:10 - "He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much; and he who is unrighteous in a very little thing is unrighteous also in much.
Application:
Reflect on one area where you’ve been resisting God’s direction. Take one small step of obedience today.
Prayer:
Lord, I want to be obedient, but sometimes I hesitate. Fear, pride, and doubt get in the way. Strengthen me to obey You even when it’s difficult. Remind me that obedience today prepares me for the purpose You have tomorrow.
