A Global Gospel for Every Tongue
When the Spirit
enabled the disciples to speak in the languages of the nations gathered in
Jerusalem, it wasn’t a random miracle—it was a divine declaration. God’s heart
is for every tribe, language, and people. Pentecost was, in many ways, a
reversal of Babel. Instead of confusion, God brought clarity. Instead of
division, He brought unity through the message of salvation.
This challenges the
idea that Christianity is confined to a culture, language, or ethnicity. The
gospel is for everyone.
How often do we
forget that the Church is not just our local congregation or cultural
expression?
Scripture:
Revelation 7:9-10 - After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches were in their hands; and they cry out with a loud voice, saying, "Salvation to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb."
Application:
Consider our missionaries and the people groups they serve. Pray for that group today and consider how you can support global missions.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for making Your gospel accessible to all. Give me a heart for the nations and the courage to share Your message with those around me. Use me to bridge cultural gaps and speak truth in love.
